Having just completed our 9001 and 14001 recertification*, and given our response to bids and amplifying the benefits of processes and procedures, we struggled to get motivated.
Yes, we understand the rationale, specifically demonstrating robust management systems, which is a prerequisite for our bid management Professional Indemnity Insurance. In hindsight, we went into the process with the wrong attitude, just a set of hoops we had to get through rather than the opportunity to refresh our operating approach with an invaluable third-party review of where we could continuously improve, streamline bureaucracy and provide added value to our clients. But, it’s still not easy, glamorous or at times enjoyable. Respect to the compliance teams out there who do this for a living; you are special.
